Frumflutningur hér á landi á Sjávarsinfóníunni
130 manna hópur ungmenna í Háskólakórnum og Sinfóníuhljómsveit unga fólksins frumflytja hér á landi Sjávarsinfóníuna eða A Sea Symphony eftir Ralph Vaughan Williams í Langholtskirkju 21. mars, klukkan 17:00 og 23. mars, klukkan 20:00.
EINSÖNGVARAR VERÐA: Tui Hirv sópran frá Eistlandi og Fjölnir Ólafsson baritón.
Stjórnandi er Gunnsteinn Ólafsson.
Sjávarsinfónían er eitt magnaðasta verk breska tónskáldsins. Það byggir á kvæði eftir Walt Whitman og lýsir baráttu sjómanna við hafið á magnaðan hátt!
Háskólakórinn og Sinfóníuhljómsveit unga fólksins hafa átt með sér í gott samstarf um árabil. Saman hafa þau tekist á við stærstu verk tónbókmenntanna en einnig pantað ný verk eftir íslensk tónskáld.
Almennt miðaverð er 2500 kr.
Miðaverð fyrir stúdenta, eldri borgara og öryrkja: 1500 kr.
The University choir and the Symphony of young people will perform A Sea Symphony by Ralph Vaughan Williams for the first time in Iceland in Langholtskirkja on the 21st of March at 17:00 and the 23rd of March at 20:00.
Soloists will be:

A Sea Symphony is a one of the best works of the composer, it is based on a poem by Walt Whitman and describes the struggle between the sailors and the sea in a powerful way!
The University choir and the orchestra of the young people have been working successfully together for years. Together they have took on the greatest pieces of music history and also ordered new pieces by Icelandic composers.
Ticket price is 2.500 ISK
Ticket price for students, the elderly and people with disabilities is 1.500 ISK.
