The University choir and the Symphony of young people will perform A Sea Symphony by Ralph Vaughan Williams for the first time in Iceland in Langholtskirkja on the 21st of March at 17:00 and the 23rd of March at 20:00.<\/p>\n

A Sea Symphony is a one of the best works of the composer, it is based on a poem by Walt Whitman and describes the struggle between the sailors and the sea in a powerful way!<\/p>\n
The University choir and the orchestra of the young people have been working successfully together for years. Together they have took on the greatest pieces of music history and also ordered new pieces by Icelandic composers.<\/p>\n
